All graduates of any Philippine high school duly approved and accredited by the Department of Education (DepEd) may be admitted to Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan regardless of religion, ethnicity and gender. Admissions requirements may vary according to the College degree program of different colleges of the university and to the Technical diploma program of the Center for Industrial Technology (CIT).

Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan reserves the right not to accept an applicant whose qualifications do not match the basic requirements, criteria and standards of the College-degree program, and/or Technical-diploma program one is seeking admission.

FRESHMAN

There are two types of Freshmen: those admitted to a 4 or 5 year - College degree programs and those admitted to 3 (or less) technical-diploma programs of XU - Center for Industrial Technology (CIT).

Basic requirements for a 4 or 5 year-College Degree program:

4 Passing Result of XU Entrance Exam administered by XU Testing Services
4 High School Report Card (Form 138) duly authenticated by the School Principal
4 Original Birth Certificate - 2 clear photocopies
4 Recommendations: one from HS Principal and one from Counsellor or Adviser
4 Original copy of Medical Health Certification
4 Original copy of Dental Health Record
4 Eight (8) copies recent 1x1 photos
4 Clear photocopy of Marriage Contract (for female married students)

Basic requirements for a 3 (or less)-Technical Diploma program:

Same as the requirements for College degree Freshmen, but note the following: Passing Result of CIT Entrance Examination administered by the Registrar's Office of XU Center for Industrial Technology.

TRANSFEREES

Basic requirements for Transferee to both College degree or Technical Diploma program:

Same as the requirements for Freshmen, but note the following additional documents:

4 Transfer Credentials from former school
4 Former School Dean's certification of good moral character.

FOREIGN APPLICANTS

Graduates of high schools and colleges from other countries, who desire to study at Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, must see (or write) first the Personnel-In-Charge for foreign nationals at the Registrar's Office of Xavier University.
