Faculty members of the Xavier Ateneo College of Nursing, School of Education, Psychology Department, a tertiary campus minister, and nurses from health service units of the grade school, junior high school, and college attended a training for teachers on how to teach natural family planning to incoming college freshmen. 

Held on August 10 and 11at the Xavier University Psychology Laboratory, the training was for the teachers to learn how to teach the All Natural Family Planning Method (AFPM) to the incoming tertiary students (SY 2018-2019) and to set up a Natural Family Planning Center in the College of Nursing.

The natural family planning campaign of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro is headed by Archbishop Antonio J Ledesma SJ DD, along with Ana Lea C Pielago as program director, and Lita N Naval and Teresita Dacayanan as facilitators in the said two-day seminar-workshop.

The said training was made possible by the support of College of Arts and Sciences dean Juliet Q Dalagan, College of Nursing dean Dr Ramona Heidi C Palad, and XU vice-president for mission and ministry Irene Grace A Guitarte.∎
