For more than eight great decades of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, 
fire (a symbol of passion) and magis (a philosophy of excellence) have been two of our treasured elements 
as a thriving academic institution and our common home that nurtured leaders of character and competence. 
This gala pays homage to the people behind this revered tradition 
whose minds and hearts carry out and exemplify the ideals of Xavier Ateneo 
and the true meaning of fire and magis.

 

Description of Awards

The awards for outstanding employees are honors annually bestowed by the University in recognition and appreciation for the men and women who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment in the performance of their duties and responsibilities as Administrator, Faculty, Formator and Non-teaching staff thus contributing immensely to the realization of the University’s vision, mission and goals.

Objectives

  1. To recognize and reward employees whose outstanding work performance and exemplary behavior supports the vision, mission and goals of Xavier Ateneo.
  2. To encourage innovations and continuous improvement, better quality service, and higher productivity.

Categories and Incentives

Categories

  1. Rookie Faculty: 3 to 5 years (2 awards, 1 each from HEd & BEd)
  2. Junior Faculty: 6 to 10 years (2 awards, 1 each from HEd & BEd)
  3. Senior Faculty: 11 years and more (2 awards, 1 each from HEd & BEd)
  4. Formator: at least 5 years of service, at least 3 years as Formator (1 award)
  5. Administrator: 5 years of service, at least 3 years as Administrator (2 awards, 1 each from HEd/CentralAdmin & BEd)
  6. NTS: at least 3 years of service (2 awards, 1 each from HEd/CentralAdmin & BEd)

Incentives

  4. Five extra days of Vacation Leave to be taken in the new SY after the awarding.
