OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND NETWORKING

            OICN is established to link Xavier University with international educational and cultural institutions and to develop and strengthen stronger relationships for the students, the faculty and administrators between Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao and the rest of the world.

OICN aims to internationalize fully Xavier University in compliance with the School Mission to preserve the Filipino heritage.

• Promotes the mobility of students and faculty
• Provides services and facilitate the
  • Application of XU undergraduate or graduate students who are interested in foreign exchange programs;
  • BI documents for students coming from foreign universities;
  • Processing of papers of Faculty and Researchers from XU and foreign institutions involved in research programs in the Philippines and abroad.
• To gather and disseminate information concerning different international programs to the campus community;
• To establish contacts and to link XU with foreign institutions

1. Implements the cooperative programs with other universities;
2. Promotes and develops new agreements with new foreign institutions;
3. Takes care of the welfare of in-coming foreign students;
4. Disseminates information on foreign opportunities for XU students and faculty;
5. Cooperates with AJCU-EAO schools;
6. Participates in Student Learning Programs.

• Assistance for XU students who are  going to foreign universities;
• Enrolment of incoming foreign students to XU

OICN strengthens and implements the existing agreements with schools, organizations, and institutions with which XU has established and maintains contacts and relations, and

develops  new agreements with other institutions.

It  implements guidelines and criteria for application for the exchange programs; gathers information on other institutions having international programs and disseminates information on additional opportunities for XU students, faculty and staff. It facilitates intercultural dialogue by contacting cultural centers in order to facilitate organization of seminars, lectures, exhibits, artistic events with foreign participants.
