The School of Business and Management is committed to respond to the needs and requirements of business, industry, and the government for competent men and women and professional practitioners who manage resources effectively and create more wealth for the good of the many.
The School provides graduates who possess not only general skills and knowledge for them to assume a variety of tasks in an organizational endeavor, but also specialized competence that better the interest of the organization and its customers.
As a part of a larger unit, it also sees to it that the said graduates are imbued with desirable traits and values expected of a Catholic, Filipino and Jesuit academic community that is XavierUniversity.
Having the most number of students in Xavier University, the School of Business and Management started as a one-year course on commerce.It was already among the courses offered when Ateneo de Cagayan expanded in its younger years to include college levels.
Eventually, the previous one-year course was replaced by a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with majors in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Marketing and Management.And in 1970, the Master of Business Management was offered.The BS Information Management was added in 1997 and the BS Management Accounting in 2001.
In 2004, it became the School of Business and Management, and two years later, it offered the Doctor in Corporate Management program.
