The School of Law of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan is one of the top ten performing law schools in the country today. As a Jesuit professional school, it is dedicated to developing competent and socially-conscious lawyers who see the legal profession foremost as a public service. Xavier Ateneo Law abides by the principle that those who have less in life should have more in law.

Its curriculum is designed to widen and deepen the appreciation and understanding of the history and development of the law and to encourage continuing education and research consistent with the nature of the field.

Together with the Xavier University Center for Legal Assistance (XUCLA), students of the School of Law provide legal and paralegal assistance to the marginalized members of society. Early on, they are exposed to litigation, consultation, and counseling, which enable them to develop a logical and analytical mind, uphold high ethical standards, and mastery of communication skills vital in effective law practice.

The School of Law aspires to attain superior performance and service. Its students have won in national and international moot court competitions and law debates. It has also produced graduates who are nationally distinguished law practitioners, corporate counsels, policymakers, local chief executives, and judiciary officials.
