Teachers’ Guild (TG)

The popular Intramurals chant of the School of Education, “Wala kayo kung wala ang Educ!” (You won’t be here without Educ!), will forever ring true. In a time when Filipino education has endured great losses, teachers and educators are beyond valuable. In celebration of the annual Teachers’ Day, the Teachers’ Guild organized an event to pay tribute to all teachers. The week-long celebration also integrated the council’s mission to “form teacher-leaders of character, conscience, and commitment.”

The project amassed an audience of around 200 students and teachers during its launch. This did not only cater to the School of Education community but the act of love and appreciation also reached faculty and staff from other colleges, serving as a reminder of the sacrifices that come with the life of a teacher, a life dedicated to serving others. Standing firm with its belief that educators are the true exemplars of Magis, the council’s tribute embodied one of the unmistakable traits of a true Atenean—gratitude.
