Humanities and Social Sciences Cluster

An onboarding session to jumpstart the research activities of the Natural Science Cluster of the College of Arts and Sciences was held on October 6, 2021 at 10:00 in the morning to 12:00 noon, via Zoom. This first event of the cluster for this school year was graced by the presence of the Higher Education faculty members of the Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics departments of the College of Arts and Sciences. It was hosted and organized by Dr Dorothy Peruelo, the Research Coordinator of the said cluster.

The activity rolled up with the full support of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr Judy Sendaydiego, who gave the welcome remarks. The Dean for Research, Dr Heide Rabanes, presented the University Research Awards and Incentives. Dr Faustino Tarongoy Jr, the appointed coordinator of the Research Ethics Office of Xavier University, introduced the Research Ethics Review Process.  Dr Dorothy Peruelo, who also presented the rationale and objectives of the activity, extended information on the possible external funders for the research undertakings of the natural science cluster. The session, which was held with the aim of increasing the research engagement of the faculty, concluded with the closing remarks given by Dr Heide Rabanes, the Dean for Research.
