As XUJHS begins its face-to-face classes, its Hyflex Learning modality also commenced beginning October 25, 2022.

Learners residing abroad and outside Cagayan de Oro who are enrolled this school year attend classes online via Microsoft Teams, together with their classmates who are joining on-site.

Grade Level moderators namely Ma Katerina F Janubas, Charmaine and Mitzi Rose Godmalin, together with other Edtech leaders conduct Hyflex learning in different disciplines.

“My class was amazed with the experience of having their classmates join them online for the first time. This experience is a proof that learning is boundless, made possible by Microsoft Teams,” said Charmain Tejero-Cabeltes, Hyflex teacher.

Earlier this year, XUJHS conducted series of trainings to prepare its teachers for hyflex modality which requires, aside from necessary equipment, skills of the facilitator of learning.

Lea Lilibeth Emata, AP for Academics, said, “We are glad of the swift transition made by our hardworking educators onboard, as well as learners, breaking the usual apprehensions of realizing hyflex learning.”

Hyflex learning happens when both ongoing in-person learning and online are recited at the same time.

XUJHS continues to challenge the limits to bring learning to its farthest, possible reach, across boundaries. #
