Xavier University Junior High School officially started its full face to face classes last Monday, October 24.

The announcement was first heard during the Parents’ Info Session on October 1, along with separate Homeroom sessions and needed reorientation across grade levels, following a series of planning and consultative meetings with faculty and stakeholders.

Some preparations included future-proof scheduling and learning setup, recalibration of teaching and learning approaches, strategic route and crowd control system, uniform and security policies, aside from the limited face to face school formation activities and enhancement programs.

“As we begin the in-person classes, let us all remember to have a heart full of gratitude,” said Dr Pamela Q Pajente, XUJHS Principal.

XUJHS had seen the great possibility of this necessary shift and thus prepared a flexible modality at the onset, preparing both the teachers and learners ahead.

“My dear Ateneans, during these times of uncertainties, flexibility is required,” she added.

XUJHS received its Safety Seal from the IATF prior to the opening of the school year which hinted the gradual implementation of in-person learning guidelines, protocols, including measures.

Lea Lilibeth Emata, Assistant Principal for Academics said, “our reintegration to school will cultivate a positive change, bolstered by academics & formation structures, and the support of the nurturing XUJHS community. I am excited for all these enriched learning possibilities as we move forward.”

Attended by over 800 parents and guardians, the Parents’ Info Session conducted on October 1 via Microsoft Teams Webinar aims to leverage smooth transition to full in-person learning modality.

The virtual session was attended by the University President, Fr Mars Tan, SJ, VP for Basic Education, Dr Dulce Dawang, University Treasurer, Leni Ong, and Junior High School’s Key Administrators.

XUJHS commits to prepare its teachers and learners to be ready and adaptive to the challenges in current times. #
