Two examinees from the College of Agriculture of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan made it to the top 10 of the November 2022 Agriculturist Licensure Examination. Cyril Ann A Cabido took the 5th spot with a rating of 85.67% and Erna S Macusi is 8th with 85.17%. In 2019, the college also captured the number 9 rank through Louie Cris G Lopos with a rating of 87.76%.
XU President Fr Mars P Tan, SJ gave his commendations to the XU topnotchers saying he is both happy and proud with this achievement as it came on the heels of XU topnotchers from the November 2022 Nurse Licensure Exam, October 2022 Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam, and the 2022 Chemical Technician Licensure Exam. “I congratulate our two Board topnotchers and all the Board passers from the College of Agriculture. They raise the level of excellence in the College even as we continue to make our academic programs more attuned and responsive to the changing agriculture landscape of the country.”
Ma Rosario Mosqueda Phd, Dean of the XU College of Agriculture, also met the news with gratefulness and lauded the accomplishment of the XU examinees, as well as the faculty and staff. “My warmest congratulations to our graduates for their good performance in the recent Agriculturist Licensure Examination! I am especially elated that we also have 2 topnotchers this year. I also congratulate and thank our faculty and staff for hard work and for the guidance and support they have given to our students. May our graduates continue to live and partake in the mission of the College and of the University!”
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 4,035 out of 11,673 passed the Agriculturist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Agriculture. XU posted a 59.38% overall passing rate with 17 passers out of 24 first-time examinees. Only the University of the Philippines-Los Banos made it on the list of top performing schools with a 100% passing rate or a total of 116 test takers. The PRC announced that the registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card (ID) and the Certificate of Registration will be done on-line on January 30-31, February 1-3, and February 6-10, 2023. Those who wish to register are advised to visit www.prc.gov.ph for instructions on the initial registration.
