The XU College of Agriculture and the XU Office of International Cooperation and networking organized an information session with special guests from Agro-Practice, Olesya Shevchuk and Christina Dranchuk, who introduced an exciting paid internship opportunity in Denmark for agriculture students. This was held last March 29, 2023 at the AVR1.

The presentation began with an introduction led by the director of OICN, Dr Shiella C Balbutin, who welcomed the students and guests, followed by Dr Maria Rosario P Mosqueda, Dean of the College of Agriculture, who gave the welcome remarks and expressed her anticipation for this newfound partnership and the chance for agriculture students to immerse themselves abroad.

One of the representatives from Agro-Practice, Ms Christina Dranchuk, then took to the stage and began her presentation, sharing about the company's internship program, its benefits, and the potential of earning while working in the agriculture industry as a student.

The internship is a paid program which offers students the chance to gain valuable experience in their assigned farm in Denmark. Participants will work alongside experienced farm professionals and learn the ins and outs of the piggery and dairy farms. In addition, the program includes cultural activities and excursions to give students a well-rounded experience of Danish life.

Ms. Dranchuk explained that this internship opportunity is open to students from ages 18-29 who have the skills needed and are interested in working with animals. They also stressed the benefits of gaining international work experience, which can be an asset in today's global job market.

After the presentation, there was a Q&A session where the students had the opportunity to ask the speaker questions about the internship program. Ms Dranchuk was happy to answer the questions and provided detailed information about the program's requirements and possible ways of integration with the internship program of the XU College of Agriculture.

The event was a great success, and the attendees left feeling excited with the new opportunity laid before them. The session came to a close with the students lining up to get into contact with the Agro-Practice representatives.
