Dr Jerelyn B Medalla, a faculty member of the College of Agriculture's Agribusiness Program, discussed her research titled, Community-Based Agroecotourism for Integrated Sustainable Farming System: A case in Barangay Lantud, Talakag Bukidnon, in the 6th Organic Asia Congress in Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte last June 6 to 10, 2023. Her work aimed at unveiling potentialpolicies to foster integrated sustainable farming systems, conserve natural resources, and developtouristdestinationsinthecommunityofBarangayLantud,TalakagBukidnon.

Furthermore, her research highlighted the importance of integrated sustainable farming systems and community-based agro-ecotourism as means to conserve natural resources, empower local communities, and promote economic growth. Her innovative policy recommendations emphasized the need for a harmonious relationship between agriculture, tourism, and the environment. Implementing the advocated policies can pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future. It will ensure the preservation of cultural heritage and contribute to the well-being of communities for generations to come.
