Last June 22, 2023, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office X (CHED-RO X) celebrated the Commission’s 29th Founding Anniversary and the 3rd National Higher Education Day at Apple Tree Resort, Opol, Misamis Oriental. One of the highlights of the event was the 4th Regional Quality Awards 2023 (RQA).
During the celebration, CHED- RO X gave Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan four awards to recognize its performance as a higher education institution. The awards are as follows:
- Award of Distinction for inclusion to the 2023 Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (651-700), as one of the Philippine universities joining Asia’s Best Higher Education Institutions
- Award of Recognition as a Top Performing School Nationwide in the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Licensure Examinations for Nurses, Lawyers, and Chemical Engineers
- Award of Recognition for having eighteen (18) graduates who garnered the 10 highest places in various PRC Licensure Examinations between April 2022 and May 2023
- Award of Commendation to Jameson Glen C. Lim for being ranked as Top 1 Performing Examinee in the May 2022 PRC Licensure Examination for Civil Engineers
