Following Section 9 of RA 8981 (PRC Modernization Act of 2000), the PRC Psychology Board visited Xavier Ateneo last 26 June 2023 as part of its monitoring and inspection to ensure the quality practice of the psychology profession and the implementation of psychology programs in the Philippines.

Headed by Hon Miriam P Cue (Chairperson) and Hon Hector M Perez (Member), they reviewed and evaluated department delivery of the program in the following areas: board exam standing, faculty qualification, curriculum, facilities and resources, and community extension. Recommendations were given to further intensify psych extension services through the Xavier Center for Mental Health and Research, review and update the program curriculum, and strengthen faculty qualifications among the growth areas. The next visit is scheduled for 2025.
