XU student and graduate representatives excelled in the 6th Regional Health Research Conference of the Northern Mindanao Health Consortium for Health Research and Development held at Bukidnon State University on 10-12 October 2023.

In the professional category, Ms Ann Eslopor of the Chemistry department won Third place in the Research Poster Presentation. The Civil Engineering Department’s Engr Jefferson Vallente also presented his 3-minute pitch to policymakers.

In the student category, John Ian Bradshaw (BSDC 4) champed the Infomercial Making contest, while Andre Socorro F Doria (BSDC 4) placed third in the Blog Writing.

Nursing students Rommel John Tolentino (BSN 3) also participated in the Oral Presentation with Anjielo Tanaka (BSN 3) and Angela Marie Balhon (BSN 3) in the Research Poster Presentation contests. 

All five students of the XU delegation further received special awards in the Cultural Night for Best Attire.

Next year, Xavier Ateneo will host the 7th Regional Health Research Conference of the NorMinCoHRD.
