The scholarship programs available to all levels classified under two main categories:  Academic Scholarships and Grants-in-Aid.

  • Academic scholarships are awarded each year or semester, as the case may be, for academic achievement
  • Grants-in-Aid are awarded on the combined basis of academic merit and financial need.  The awardee enjoys this aid as long as he or she fulfills the requirements indicated in the term of the award.
  • Athletics and Performing Arts Scholarship. Varsity and members of the performing arts group (e.g. dance troupe, glee club, theater goup, XU Band and other groups) are granted scholarships based on active membership and excellent performances as athletes and resident artists of the University. They render service to the University and to the wider community through their performances and the promotion of sports and culture and the arts.
  • Government Scholarships. OSFA also facilitates the government sponsored scholarships and grants-in-aid, particularly by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Science &Technology (DOST), and by other government agencies.
