Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan Junior High School conducted its Club Moderators Training on May 30 and 31, anchored on "Excellence+" as the core theme of XUJHS this year.

Club moderators were provided with relevant and meaningful training sessions to better prepare for the school year and to deliver excellent performance in their responsibilities.

One significant task was to prepare and implement an evaluation tool for club activities. The majority agreed that a two-way evaluation tool will be uniformly used across different clubs for their activities. The evaluation tool, however, is open to contextualization for each event.

The club moderators, together with its club presidents, also revisited their mission and vision and conducted a review on their goals as an organization. It was aimed at reorienting themselves for their direction this school year and helping them reflect on the appropriateness and relevance of their activities.

A unified club election was proposed, to be followed by most of the clubs, except for those that have a special affiliation with other governing bodies which hold their own election of officers.

The OSASI, headed by Bonifacio Tariga Jr, has been exerting extra effort to push for the collaborative work of the different clubs to maximize connections and ripple multitude effects to the XUJHS community for efficient implementation of activities.

The alignment of co-curricular clubs with their respective academic departments was also revisited to ensure maximization of network and target effective holistic formation for students.

Through emphasis on alignment and collaboration, Xavier Ateneo Junior High School aims to put "upfront excellence to deliver an excellent system for the different clubs or organizations, cater the interests and needs of the students effectually, and make the most of the connections and network of activities of the different clubs for this school year and the succeeding years to come."∎
