The Xavier Stage (TXS), a resident repertory company of Xavier University, presents William Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" on Sept 21-27 at the XU Little Theater. This is the company’s opening production for its 3rd Theatre Season titled “Realizing Shakespeare.”
This year, the company embarks on the promotion of Shakespeare’s classic plays adapted in the Philippine context for cultural understanding. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is set in Pre-Islamic Maranao and is adapted in Cebuano.
This project is part of the Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts’ Artistic Excellence: Drama Program for Formation and Art Appreciation.
Tickets are sold at Php 100.00 for the Premiere Night and Php 75.00 for the regular runs. Below are the play schedules:
