The Economics Department is holding the First Coffeenomics Series aimed at streamlining convoluted economic theories and making them sensible to the lay.

The Coffeenomics Series is an offshoot of the simple forum series that the Economics Department and Economics Society conduct every semester. This lecture series discusses economic theories in a way that is palatable to everyone – just like coffee. It is a venue to understand the economic activities happening around, and to bring into focus economic issues and milestones that percolate within our city.

Coffeenomics consists of four lecture-workshops. The first on Food Supply Chain Sustainability was held on Sept 3 and keynoted by Arts and Science Dean Fr Rene Tacastacas SJ. The other lecture-workshops will be on Sept 6, 10, 13.  Each topic consists of a 45-minute talk followed by a 20-minute open forum or workshop.
