Xavier University signed a memorandum of agreement with top French school ISA Lille for an academic exchange program.

The program will allow faculty members and students to travel to the partner university for one year or one semester of study at the same cost of studying at their home university.

This means that XU students will be able to study at ISA Lille in France while paying only the cost of Xavier tuition.

This collaboration seeks to strengthen capabilities in teaching, research and extension of both universities in their common fields of expertise through enhanced faculty, and undergraduate and graduate students mobility.

ISA is the Institute of Agriculture, Food Industry, Environment and Landscape Management of the Université Catholique of Lille, the largest private university in France founded in 1875.

Located in Lille, north of France, in the crossroads between France, UK and Belgium, Université Catholique of Lille has 170 programs (Bachelors, Masters, PhD) and 27,000 students.

Their undergraduate programs are in French but their Masters programs are in English.

Some of these programs are Master of Engineering in Animal Science, Master of Engineering in Food Quality and Safety, Master in Food Science and Master in Pollution Control.

Both universities are responsible for selecting the students who will participate in the program, with equal exchange of students. The program is already in place and can start as soon as the second semester of this school year.

This partnership is facilitated by the Office of International Cooperation and Networking of XU and the Office of International Relations of ISA.
