The College of Nursing of Xavier University soared high in the June 2016 Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) with a 100% passing rate and two of her graduates in the top ten.

“This is the fourth consecutive NLE that XU had a 100% passing rate,” XU president Fr Roberto C Yap SJ said in a statement. “Moreover, two XU BSN graduates topped the exam.”

Xavier’s Rachelle Eve Alolor Bensig landed on the second spot with 86.60%, along with two other successful takers.

Another XU graduate, Ma Minvilu Verano Marbella, garnering a score of 86.00%, shared the fifth place with two others.

A total of 39 Xavier Nursing grads passed the recent NLE.

“In your healing profession, may you be servants of Jesus, ‘the physician who heals with the medicine of love, for he takes upon himself our suffering and redeems it,’” Yap said.

“May the patients that you care for see reflected in you, ‘the tenderness that is a sign of the love that God shows to those who suffer and are cast aside’ (Homily of Pope Francis for the Jubilee for the Sick and Persons with Disabilities, 12 June 2016),” he added.

The university president also expressed his commendations to the College of Nursing.

“We thank once again dean Ramona Heidi C Palad, the faculty and staff of the College of Nursing for the excellent guidance and support they steadfastly provide our students,” Yap said.
