Cagayan de Oro Arts Guild, in partnership with Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts through the Museo de Oro, presents an art exhibit simply dubbed as “Change.” The idea was inspired from the famous slogan of then Davao City mayor and now President Rodrigo Duterte during his campaign trail in the May 2016 elections, “Change is coming.” However, this exhibit is not limited to showcasing artworks related to politics but also on how we individually perceive the real sense of change.

The show also aims to tackle perceptions and concerns on change as a constant thing in the journey of life. Whether it is for the better or for worse, is another matter.

“Change” will have its opening reception on Friday, August 19 at the Fr Francisco Demetrio Gallery of Museo de Oro. The exhibit and sale will run until November 18. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM. ∎
