ARCHBISHOP JAMES TG HAYES SJ SCHOLARSHIPS FOR XU SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

The Archbishop Hayes SJ Scholarships for XUSHS provide quality Ateneo education to deserving students from public and private high schools.

To qualify for the Hayes Scholarship, the applicant must be in the top 10 percent of his/her batch of Junior HS completers; with a General Scholastic Aptitude (GSA) Score of at least 60 percentile (60%) in the XU Entrance or CSAT exams; and whose per capita income does not exceed PhP 100,000.00 as evidenced by a certified true copy of the latest annual Income Tax Return or where not applicable, a statement from BIR of tax exemption with attached affidavit of sources of income.

Coverage:
1. Public Junior High School Completers with DepEd vouchers: Full Scholarship (full tuition, full matriculation, and other fees) valued at PhP40,000.00.
2. Private Junior High School Completers :

a. Entitled to receive DepEd voucher – full tuition & full matriculation. The XUSHS student will only pay PhP4,000.00 for other fees.
b. No DepEd voucher – will only pay PhP20,000.00; balance will be covered by the Hayes Scholarship

How to Apply: 
Complete the online application by logging on to the general application webpage: shsapply.xu.edu.ph/exam_results.

Requirements:
a. Duly filled-out Hayes Scholarship Application form

b. Certification from the School Principal (top 10% of the Junior HS batch)

c. Two signed and sealed scholarship recommendations from

i. Principal
ii. Adviser or Guidance Counselor
   * Please use the form downloadable from the general application webpage.

d. Photocopy of Student’s Secondary Permanent Record (Form 137-A – complete up to the latest grading period upon application) certified by the school principal.

e. Clear photocopy of Parents’ Income Tax Return or where not applicable, a statement from BIR of tax exemption.
(For a statement of BIR of Tax Exemption Certification, please attach all other required documents, e.g. Certificate of Indigency from City Social Welfare and Development, City Assessment Department, Affidavit of Sources of Income duly notarized etc.)
