All 43 Xavier Ateneo graduates successfully passed the November 2016 Nursing Licensure Exam, giving Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan a 100% passing rate.

Two XU graduates also landed on the top 10: Joconie Padsing Caumban ranked fifth with 85.60% and Eliza Mae Perero Quejada occupied the tenth spot with 84.60%.

"It should not be a surprise anymore, but it still is and wonderfully so. I am very pleased to inform everyone that for the November 2016 Nursing Licensure Examination, XU once again had 100% passing percentage," XU president Fr Roberto C Yap SJ said in his message to the academic community. 

"We thank once again College of Nursing dean Ramona Heidi C Palad, the faculty and staff for the excellent guidance and support they steadfastly provide our students," he added.

According to the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission on Wednesday, December 14, out of 14,322 takers from 487 different schools, only 6,836 passed, reaping a national passing rate of 47.73%.

This is the fifth consecutive time that XU College of Nursing garnered a perfect passing rate, which started in November 2014. 

"Congratulations to Joconie, Eliza and all our XU nurses. May you always appreciate your wonderful vocation to make God’s goodness and mercy visible by your competent and compassionate care for the sick!" Yap iterated. ∎
