Student-athletes from Xavier University Grade School (XUGS) dominated in swimming and basketball at the recently-concluded Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) meet held in Mambajao, Camiguin.

XUGS pupils Lorenzo Castrence III and Jay Daniel Lawson won a gold medal each in 4x100m free relay and bronze (each) in 4x50m medley relay in swimming.

Another XUGS pupil Annika Marian Sell, who qualified for the Palarong Pambansa 2017, reaped three golds (200m freestyle, 50m butterfly, and 4x100m medley relay), three silvers (100m freestyle, 400m freestyle, and 4x50m free relay), and one bronze medal in 100m breast stroke.

Davesan Sulatan served as their swimming coach.

The basketball team of XUGS also won six championships straight: District Meet, Milo Little Olympics Regionals, Best Center City Finals SBP, Best Center Regional Finals SBP, Division Meet, and most recently, the NMRAA meet.

Marianao Cris Velez, Jose Rey Erfe, and Jared Joy Abad coached the XUGS basketball team, whose members are the following:
