TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (TESOL)
120-hour TESOL Certificate
The advanced TESOL Certification is a 120-hour course that provides a base knowledge in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Participants will study the theory of TESOL and lesson plans for presentation in the classroom. It offers methodologies, language learning strategies, and teaching aids in teaching English to speakers of other languages, including background on education in the Philippine setting and techniques and styles in teaching children. The training covers following:
• Theories with application (theories of language, language teaching, learning, lesson planning);
• Student-centered lecture sessions and teaching demonstration;
• Enhancement of teaching and language teaching experiences in multi-cultural classroom and mainstream English classes;
• Written or practical assessment to measure learning;
• Learning and demonstration feedback; and

1) Personal Payment – Applicant may personally pay at the Xavier University Center for Languages (XUCL) through the Finance Office.

Schedule of Fees
• Fifty percent (50%) of full payment upon reservation on or before the first week of March 2017
• Full payment on or before March 30, 2017
Attendance
Full compliance of requirements by the ATI with satisfactory rating on the teaching demonstration
Change of Schedule and/or Event Cancellation
The ATI reserves the right to change the schedule and/or cancel the training due to few registrants or occurrence of events beyond the ATI control. In this situation, the participants will be notified accordingly.
