The Center for Integrated Technologies (CIT) will be celebrating its 34th founding anniversary on February 15-17 with the theme “Experience Excellence in Technical Skills Training.”

In the three-day event, the Center has prepared numerous activities meant to demonstrate skills in various fields in technology. The CIT Days will start with a celebration of mass that is followed by a chain-cutting ceremony to formally open the technology festival.

In the next three days, the festival highlights a mini Skills Olympics on select areas of Information and Communications Technology, Electrical Installation Maintenance, and Shield Metal Arc Wielding which will be participated by several grade 10 students from different national high schools in the city.

In addition to the inter-school competition, an in-house skills tournament on Auto Lighting will also take place. And of course, the CIT Days will not be complete without the participation of the Senior High TechVoc students. They will be taking part in an in-house AutoCad competition, and will also be joining in the Amazing Race - Technology Edition alongside the upperclassmen.

Besides the technology-themed activities, CIT will host a 3-on-3 basketball tourney, movie nights, and a Zumba session in the afternoons. Moreover, a number of fun booths, run by the student council, will also decorate the CIT grounds.

Guests may drop by and take souvenir photos at the designated photo booth or ride a rented bike around CIT or play vintage computer games with friends.

The technology festival will end with an awarding ceremony and a talent showcase by the different year levels.

The Center Integrated Technologies aims to not only commemorate its foundation days but also celebrate and promote the technical skills of its own community and of the national high schools around the city. ∎
