CINEMAGIS 10: Northern Mindanao’s Digital Short Film Festival
24-27 January 2018

CALL FOR ENTRIES
Cinemagis, Northern Mindanao’s live action digital short film festival, aims to encourage our filmmaking artists to address and reflect on Mindanao experiences, voices, aspirations, and issues. Filmmakers are also encouraged to draw out inspirations from local lores or pressing realities that capture the essence of Magis - a take on depth, leaping extra mile, to have more care for others, and doing better things for the greater glory of God through the renewal of the self.

Cinemagis, now on its 10th year, continues to recognize and hone the skills of our filmmakers to come up with a significant body of works that will lead them to national and international recognitions and to contribute to the rising Mindanao film industry.

Cinemagis films are submitted to the Cinema Rehiyon, a harvest of films from different regions in the country, for festival curation and programming.

This year, Cinemagis suggests the following themes: peace, cultural solidarity, human rights, gender and development, harmony with the environment, cultural understanding and awareness, and life’s funny and subtle contradictions.
