The non-teaching personnel of Xavier Ateneo's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) went through a training-workshop on Microsoft Access in line with their goal of becoming globally-oriented and updated with technology.

Held from August 9 to 11 at the SS Computer Lab C, three competent faculty-trainers from the College of Computer Studies (CompStud) namely, Maria Ramila Jimenez (Microsoft ambassador), Cristina Amor Cajilla (Microsoft ambassador), and Francis Joshua Arrabaca shared their time, talent, and expertise to train the CAS staff members.

Microsoft Access is a database management system (DBMS) that combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface and software-development tools. It can also import or link directly to data stored in other applications and databases.

About 20 non-teaching personnel, including a few staff members from the Computing and Information Services Office (CISO), attended the said event.

The College of Arts and Sciences hopes that the training will lead to a more systematic laboratory and office inventory using Microsoft Access.∎
