Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan invited local content creators for the “Create the Future: A Campus of the Future Social Media Day” on 7 August 2024. This event was an initiative by the Advancement Office (led by Director Anna Katrina D Tiukinhoy) and the Communications and Promotions Office (led by Director Ann Catherine T Acenas) in partnership with the Campus of the Future Office (led by Project Manager Engr Lennie K Ong).
Thirteen local content creators joined the tour of the Heritage Sites in the the Main Campus (which will soon be called Corrales Campus) and the site of the future Masterson Campus. The event began with an orientation where Campus of the Future Office Project Manager Engr Lennie K Ong welcomed the guests. This was followed by an official introduction of the New Campus project, including updated perspectives and further details, presented by Advancement Office Director Anna Katrina D Tiukinhoy.
The final segment of the orientation featured Engr Ong and Engr Laurimer Bernard D Angeles from the Campus of the Future Office, who addressed questions from the guests. The discussion covered various topics, including transportation, sustainability, security, scholarships, traffic mitigation, and the status of the Main Campus. Additionally, they mentioned that the target date for the completion of the New Campus is between 2030 and 2032.
The content creators were then toured around the heritage buildings inside the Main Campus namely Museo de Oro, Lucas Hall, Xavier Hall, Campion Hall, Science Center building, XU Library, and the Immaculate Conception Church.

The tour then proceeded to the New Campus site, where content creators were allowed to capture the area’s progress and landscape. They were encouraged to document the site set to define the future of the campus. This visit allowed them to share a glimpse of the university’s vision with their audiences, highlighting the ongoing transformation and future possibilities of the campus.
Lunch was served at Terrazzo Uptown, with Xavier University President Fr Mars P Tan, SJ gracing the occasion with his presence, showing his support, and personally welcoming the visitors. His participation underscored the importance of the event and the university’s commitment to engaging with its community and stakeholders. As a gesture of appreciation, press kits were given to the guests to mark the event and express gratitude for their involvement.
