Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan stands in solidarity with the nation during the 2024 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW). This campaign runs from 25 November to 12 December 2024, under the recurring campaign theme for the years 2022–2027: “UNITEd for a VAW-free Philippines and its 2024 sub-theme, “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!”

The university supports the Philippine government’s goal of safeguarding the human rights of women and girls, as mandated in the 1987 Constitution. Xavier University recognizes violence in all its forms that women have to endure. It will pursue raising awareness about gender issues and fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and social responsibility within the Xavier University community. It acknowledges violence against women as a human rights violation. It will endeavor to create an environment where safety flourishes and where women work and learn without fear, violence, or discrimination. It will work to set up systems to address and advocate against violence.
