FAQ on Accelerated Pathway for Medicine Program (APMed)
Who can apply?
1.1 Newly graduated or graduating Grade 12 senior high school students of STEM track. 1.2 Senior high school students of STEM track who had a gap year and have not started college yet. 1.3 GWA in Senior High School or GWA for Grade 11 and available grades for Grade 12 = 80 or higher
Are transferees and shiftees eligible to apply?
NO, only those who will fit the criteria in Number 1 can apply:
How to apply?
3.1 A pre-screening will be conducted 2nd week of December 2024. (only those who are approved in the pre-screening can apply for the exam) 3.1.1. Pre-screening requirements: 3.1.1.1 Grade 11 report card with general weighted average and Grade 12 grades for the quarters that have already been covered at the time of the application. (Submission will be done through XU website. Further details will be announced soon.)
3.2 All applicants for admissions must first TAKE and PASS the Xavier Ateneo Entrance Examination for Higher Education (EEHE) for freshmen applicants. Only those with 75 rating or higher will qualify for the next step. 3.2.1 Requirements to be submitted for the entrance examination: 3.2.1.1 Grade 12 ID (AY 2025-2026) 3.2.1.2 Certificate of Enrollment OR Grade 12 report card
3.3 Applicants who qualify based on their GWA and entrance examination scores will go through a panel interview.
Is there a cut-off score for the entrance examination?
Yes, the cut-off score is 75.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
5.1 APMed applicants must take the Scholarship Examination given by XU 5.2 Applicants must meet the scholarship cut-off score to be considered for ranking.
How many will be accepted?
Only 50 applicants will be accepted for the first batch of the APMed Program for AY 2025-2026.
