The Xavier Ateneo Office of Graduate Studies organized and hosted a workshop titled "Crafting Graduate-Level Syllabi with OBE Principles" with the objective of reviewing and revisiting the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and seamlessly integrating them into graduate-level syllabi, ensuring that XA’s academic standards align with professional standards.
The workshop was graced by distinguished resource persons, Dr Kathleen Morales and Dr Charity Rose A Pagara, both from Xavier Ateneo’s own faculty in the School of Education. They are renowned for their expertise in the field of education and curriculum design. Their insights and guidance were invaluable in directing the discussions and activities.
The event saw active participation from the Deans, faculty members of the graduate school, graduate program directors, and coordinators. Their collective presence underscored the significance of the workshop in elevating the standards of the University’s graduate programs. This initiative is also in line with the requirements of CMO 15, s 2019, the program mandates set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
This workshop is an initiative to enhance the quality of Graduate education and to ensure that graduate programs are compliant and aligned with both national educational and professional standards. This demonstrates Xavier Ateneo’s unwavering commitment to excellence in its Graduate Programs and to its students.
