Proposal Defense Procedure on:

  • Master of Science in Agricultural Economics
  • Master of Arts in Nursing
  • Master of Engineering
  • Master in Information Technology
  • Master of Science in Health and Hospital Management
  • Master of Arts in Health Professions Education

1st Semester

Application Period:  August │ Deadline of Submission: 1 December

2nd Semester

Application Period: 16 January │ Deadline of Submission: 13 May

Intersession

Application Period:  12 June │ Deadline of Submission: 15 July

 

Procedure:

1. Download and Fill-in the following Documents:

a. Approval of Topic and Mentor signed by College Dean and Mentor.

b. Nomination of Panel Members signed by Panel Members

2. Request for an academic evaluation from your Graduate Program Coordinator and must be signed by your GPC.

3. Pay the Concluding Paper Requirements (CPR) proposal defense fee. For payment details, please refer below

b. CPR Proposal Paper (1 file; PDF copy; Signed by mentor)
c. Academic Evaluation for CPR Proposal Defense
d. Proof of Payment/receipt (correct account no and reference no)
e. Clearance
f. Nomination of Panel Members

6. Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) will secure clearances from Finance and Registrar’s Offices and will also notify you if there are deficiencies in the application

7. The OGS will send you the defense schedule.

8. The panel's chair will collate the results, calculate the total grade, and submit it to the GPC. Afterward, GPC will email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your overall rating

9. The minutes of proposal will be sent to your email account.

10. After the proposal defense, please revise your CPR according to the comments/suggestion of the panel. Then process the requirements of XU Institutional Research Ethics Board (IREB). Final Defense Procedure

Procedure:

1. Request for an academic evaluation from your Graduate Program Coordinator and must be signed by your GPC. Please access the link for template.

2. Send your manuscript to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for Turnitin with the SUBJECT: For Plagiarism Check. (Word doc & 1 file: Title Page; Chapter 1-5 only). Result will be sent to your email, maximum of 3 days.

3. Pay the Concluding Paper Requirements (CPR) final defense fee. For payment details, please refer below

10. Please work out the comments and suggestions of the panel. Then send your final revisions to your mentor for review and approval.

11. Please contact Office of Graduate Studies for Paper editing.

12. Please send the final revised paper, along with your editing certificate and the final defense minutes to the panelists for their approval and signature.
