I have been working as a fulltime contractual teacher in the Tertiary since 2013.  My 3 children enjoyed GIA during the last 2 years and are already adjusted in XU.

Another FT contractual however told me that my GIA days are numbered because he was unable to enroll his son due to the new guidelines issued last 6.1.16.  It states that GIA is for the regular employee or one on probation at the time of application.  Is this true?

You must be referring to the Policy & Implementing Guidelines for Educational Grants within Xavier Ateneo eff. June 1, 2016. Please refer to the footnote on p. 3 of the Policy paper.  It states that the previous plan enjoyed by FT contractuals working continuously prior to June 1, 2015 will continue to be enjoyed by them. Thus, the GIA already enjoyed by your children in the last 2 years are not affected.
