The Safety, Security and Information Office (SSIO) is the lead unit in the united effort to secure the Xavier University community. Its mandate is to protect the community against any intentional harm, prevent or mitigate the effects of any accidents, and to actively respond to threats and hazards within the XU campus. To this end, SSIO develops and recommends policies, guidelines, procedures and practice in consultation with stakeholders to accomplish its mission.
