In a decision during its Special Board Meeting on October 19, 2024, the Xavier Ateneo Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 19, Series of AY 2024-2025, awarding the Solar Photovoltaic Facility Projectolar Photovoltaic Facility Project to the United States Mindanao Renewable Energy Corporation (USMREC). The subsequent memorandum of understanding, approved in January 2025, formalized the university’s entry into renewable energy generation.
