Mission
We dedicate our individual and institutional efforts and resources to the:
- Promotion of a dynamic medical education that is sensitive, responsive, relevant, as well as committed in addressing the needs of society, particularly in Northern Mindanao;
- Affirmation that our medical school will graduate physicians who are competent, socially responsive, committed, and morally upright human beings, in accordance with the Jesuit philosophy;
- Provision of health care services that are acceptable, accessible, available, and affordable to the consumers of these services.
Goals
- To inculcate in the students an appreciation of the value of human life and the dignity of the human being.
- To motivate and assist the students to acquire professional excellence and develop the necessary skills of healing through appropriate, effective and compassionate patient care.
- To nurture in the students the desire for continuing improvement of the community through health education and sound management, as well as advocacy in public health and health policy issues.
- To promote medical research with emphasis on community-oriented projects and health related programs.
- To nurture in the students the passion for life-long learning.
Who May Apply
Anyone seeking admission to the medical school must have the following qualifications:
- He/she must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in sciences or arts (AB/BS) conferred by a duly recognized educational institution. The degree/course must have been taken within a five-year period prior to the filing of application. A one semester refresher course is required of those who graduated beyond five years.
- He/she must have a score of 60%tile or higher on the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT)* taken within the years 2013-2014.

Selection of Students
The selection of students for admission is the responsibility of the Admissions Committee which shall evaluate with care and fairness the total qualifications of each applicant, based on academic records, NMAT Score, personal interview and the health care report.
Enrolment procedure for all accepted applicants
- Submit the following documents at the administrative office of the School of Medicine during enrolment period
- For issuance of Certificate of Eligibility for Admission into the Medicine Course:
- Original transcript of records issued for purposes of CEM (Certificate of Eligibility for Admission into the Medicine Course) (TOR issued for Employment and Board Exam will not be accepted) plus 2 photocopies
- Photocopy of diploma or Certificate of graduation from the registrar of school last attended if diploma is not yet Available – 2 copies
- Original copies of certificate of good moral character from three officials of school last attended (Dean, Guidance Counselor/Student Affairs Office and a science teacher)
- Photocopy of Birth certificate from NSO and Local Civil Registrar – 2 clear photocopies each; additional marriage contract for females
- For foreign students original copy of the Certificate of Eligibility for Admission (CEA) is issued by CHED, Manila, General Services at UP, Diliman, Quezon City.
- Transfer credentials Original and photocopy (for non XU graduates only)

Animal Science is a four-year course under the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program. The program plays a significant role in addressing the problems of low farm productivity and food shortages in the country. The course specifically aims to make animal production a profitable enterprise without neglecting the environment. Animal Science operates both as an academic and outreach unit of the college.
Objectives
Consistent with the goals of the College of Agriculture, the Animal Science Unit is established to help accelerate agricultural development in Region X, in particular, and in the country, in general, with the following aims:
- To provide undergraduate instruction in the different fields of Animal Science;
- To generate, verify, and package appropriate technologies in livestock and poultry production; and,
- To provide technical advice and services to local livestock and poultry raisers.
