Rationale: Experienced university faculty, while possessing deep content knowledge, may benefit from a focused refresher and update on contemporary approaches to fostering critical thinking skills in their students. In an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving world, students need to move beyond rote memorization and develop the ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information effectively. This workshop aims to provide faculty with practical tools and strategies to integrate critical thinking development into their teaching practices, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. By blending theoretical foundations with hands-on skill-building, participants will gain a renewed understanding of critical thinking and its application within the art of instruction, ensuring they remain effective educators in a dynamic academic landscape.
