🎬✨ Cinemagis 15 – FDCP Film Talks ✨🎬

We are honored to welcome Zig Dulay, multi-awarded filmmaker and TOYM Awardee for Film and TV 2024.

Zig is celebrated for his powerful regional films that delve into socio-political and cultural issues. His journey began with Armando Lao’s Found Story, and early on, he made his mark as a screenwriter for Ekstra (The Bit Player), Posas (Shackled), Qwerty, Kasal (The Commitment), and Ad Ignorantiam.

He later transitioned to directing, creating critically acclaimed works such as Missing, M. (Mother’s Maiden Name), Bambanti (Scarecrow), Paglipay (Crossing), Bagahe (The Baggage), and Black Rainbow. His recent films, Firefly and Green Bones, won Best Film at the MMFF 2023 and MIFF 2024, with Green Bones also taking home Best Picture at the 50th MMFF.

Beyond film, Zig has directed hit drama series including Sahaya, Legal Wives, and Maria Clara at Ibarra. He has also represented the Philippines as a jury member at film festivals in France, Turkey, and the USA, and was named one of Tatler Asia Gen. T’s Leaders of Tomorrow in 2024.

🎬✨ Cinemagis 15 – FDCP Film Talks ✨🎬

Get inspired by one of the country’s most respected voices in film industry!

Tito Genova Valiente is a renowned film critic and educator, a long-time member and former Chairperson of the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino, the country’s oldest and most prestigious critics’ group. He spent decades with the Japanese Studies Program of Ateneo de Manila University, is a published author, and writes compelling columns on film, media, societies, and cultures for the Business Mirror.

He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the NCCA Executive Committee on Cinema, and in 2016, he was honored by the Unyon ng Mga Manunulat ng Pilipinas (UMPIL) with the Gawad Sining ni Balagtas for Lifetime Achievement in English Essay.
