For nearly twenty years, Xavier University (XU) has been working with national and local governments, civil society, local communities, and other institutions in building capacities for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation.
About five years ago, XU was part of the EU-funded GeoDRR Project that resulted to our graduate degree program on: Master of Geomatics for Disaster Risk Reduction. Presently, we are part of another global project called: Digital Transformation for Natural Hazards (DigiHaz), being led by the University of Alicante, in Spain.
Partnerships with international institutions bring the best of both worlds through faculty exchange. This month, Dr Adrián J Riquelme Guill, Associate Professor at the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Alicante, is in Xavier University as a visiting professor. He will conduct learning sessions with our undergraduate and graduate students.
We cordially invite you to Prof Adrian's lecture: Advanced Geospatial Tools for Resilient Urban Planning on: 20 January 2026 (Tuesday) 1:30 to 4:00 PM at the AVR 8, SBM Building, XU Main Campus. For your reference, attached please find the program.
The event is FREE. We only ask you to please confirm through Ms Cherry Mae Selma at: 0919 512 6632 or email at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
