Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan is among the institutions worldwide included in the 2026 Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings, joining the list as a new entrant and earning citations in five SDGs: No Poverty, Quality Education, Affordable and Clean Energy, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Partnerships for the Goals.
This global assessment measures how universities worldwide are advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It evaluates institutions in research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching to gauge their comprehensive commitment to environmental and social sustainability.
XU joins the ranks of other Ateneo schools in this recognition, namely Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo de Davao University, and Ateneo de Naga University.
