Every October, the XU Grade School (XUGS), together with the Parent-Teacher Association, celebrates the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels. In this event, the entire XUGS community gathers at the Macasandig campus, to perform and participate in the different activities. This year, the Feast, fondly called the Grade School Fiesta, will be held from October 24 to 26, with the theme “One Nurturing Community: Beloved, Gifted, Empowered.”
The 3-day event will kick off with the Holy Mass at the covered courts, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the XUGS Main Gate. The first day will then be filled with dance contests and presentations of select students from Nursery to Grade 6 levels, from both Macasandig and Pueblo campuses. There will also be a walk-in movie sponsored by the PTA at the covered courts.
The second day will see all the students from Grades 1 to 6 levels giving their best in the field demonstrations at the soccer field. They will be performing dances inspired by the different Philippine festivals. The PTA will also have their Bingo and Zumba For A Cause. There will also be a free yoga session by certified yoga teacher Juliet Galvez, at the auditorium. Topping off the second day of the festivities will be the XU Grade School Alumni Homecoming, which will be held at the covered courts. All XUGS alumni are invited to come, reminisce, and revel in the different activities prepared for them.
On the final day, the preschoolers will be showcasing their field demonstrations at the soccer field, while our volleyball and soccer varsity teams will be playing their invitational games. The finale of this XUGS Fiesta will be the talent night, where members of the XUGS community will entertain everyone with their various presentations. There you will witness performances, not only from students, but from the parents, teachers, and school administrators as well. It is sure to be a fun night!
