CAGAYAN DE ORO, Philippines — The XU Philippine Association of Agriculturists Juniors (PAA Juniors) landed on the second place in the 1st Lockton Philippines Legacy Awards.  

Lockton Legacy Award is a college-based action research contest, open to students who undertake research related to environmental risk management.

Their entry, titled “Promotion of Sustainable Adoption of Agricultural Technologies (Black Soldier Fly and Self-Circulating Hydroponics) to Students of Balulang Elementary School, Cagayan de Oro City,” deals with innovative agricultural technologies for food production and pollution prevention.

Victorio C Valledor, president and CEO of Lockton Philippines Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Inc, awarded Xavier Ateneo through Roel R Ravanera, vice-president for social development.

Certificates and cash prizes were given to the student-researchers and moderator Floro V Dalapag. 

The ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 12 at AVR 8, SBM building of Xavier Ateneo.∎
