On May 21, 2021, Xavier University received a Plaque of Recognition from the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Region 10 during its 2nd Regional Quality Awards Program in celebration of the 1st National Higher Education Day and CHED 27th Founding Anniversary. As cited, XU is recognized for demonstrating the highest quality of education and internationalization initiatives leading to its inclusion in the 2021 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, and one of the fourteen (14) Philippine universities joining the list of Asia's best higher education institutions. It also recognized XU for gaining increased international exposure and visibility by university-to-university academic programs and research, study visits, foreign scholarships, international fairs and conferences, student-faculty exchanges, and strategic partnerships and linkages. XU’s notable achievements and significant contributions in implementing the CHED-initiated project "Fostering World Class Philippine University boosted its global presence and cultivated its reputation as a global university which brings pride and honor to Region 10. XU is one of the three top higher education institutions in Region 10 recognized and awarded by CHED.
