Xavier University (XU) announces the suspension of classes in the High School starting 15 July 2009 and all other levels starting 16 July 2009 as a preventive measure to avoid further spread of the Influenza A (H1N1) virus. Classes will resume on 27 July 2009 per Department of Health (DOH) Guideline on Influenza A (H1N1) in schools.

In a memorandum released today, Fr. Jose Ramon T. Villarin, SJ, Xavier University President, declared that “we have enough reason to believe that the AH1N1 virus has reached the different campuses as evidenced by the monitoring done by our Health Services”.
