Central Student Government (CSG)

Taking inspiration from the Philippines’ most celebrated female warrior, The Darna Movement: The Modern Filipina Heroes Against COVID-19 featured real, modern Darnas across all sectors of society. Organized by the Office of the Vice President arm of the Central Student Government, it showcased the struggles and triumphs of women in the battle against COVID-19.

In an attempt to foster healthy, productive discourse around the COVID-19 response, it featured a diverse set of speakers, ranging from the government sector (with the Vice-President of the Republic herself, Ms Leni Robredo) to entertainment and mental health. Reaching a nationwide audience, The Darna Movement hopes to inspire young Filipinas and emphasize the premium role a woman holds in the fight against COVID-19.
