While many would call COVID-19 ‘the great equalizer’, what this pandemic has taught us is that disparities in society actually work to increase our vulnerabilities. In an attempt to close this gap, XU-ACES, in partnership with Feed the Vulnerable, launched a fundraising project to help feed vulnerable families of PWDs and senior citizens in Barangay Consolacion.

By harnessing the sheer power of social media, the project was able to raise ₱3,990 from selling washable face masks, almost ₱1,000 more than their initial goal. All proceeds of the project went to relief packs sent to the families, providing a valuable helping hand in coping with the crippling effects of the pandemic.
