The pandemic has compelled all of us to change the way we live our lives. Affecting every aspect of modern living, it has also shifted the way we learn. Traditional face-to-face classes have been replaced by remote, flexible learning, mostly done online. This setup undoubtedly creates unique challenges for both learner and teacher alike. In response to this rising need, XU-ACES continues their Be a Warrior fundraising project, this time focusing on providing quality education for remote learners.

The project, which was launched to provide a 1:1 learner module ratio, succeeded beyond the organizers’ initial expectations. Through a combination of online fundraising and in-kind donations, Be a Warrior raised ₱10,920 for learners and faculty of Bayanga Elementary School. Through these funds they were able to purchase printing materials and school supplies for 507 beneficiaries, undoubtedly helping to ease the heavy burden of remote learning, making quality education more accessible and achievable.
